Solivar Museum (Slovak Technical Museum)
Solivar Museum, National Cultural Monument is one of the most important technical monuments in Slovakia. The complex dating back to the 17th century is a unique complex of technical buildings for pumping and boiling salt from brine, which has no rival in the field of technical monuments of a similar kind in Slovakia. In the buildings of the salt brewery there is an exhibition called History of salt mining and production in Solivar. After almost 30 years, the salt warehouse was reconstructed and since September 2015 its premises have been used not only for the exposition of salt mining, but also for exhibitions, presentations, congresses and educational activities. A lot of interesting information about the Salt Mine in Prešov can be found at muzeumsolivar.sk.
