Military History Museum

The museum department specializes in the documentation of the military history of Slovakia immediately before and during World War I in the Eastern Carpathians, the interwar period and the period of World War II, with an emphasis on the course of the Carpatho-Dukla operation, the partisan movement and the liberation of the territory of Slovakia in 1944-1945. A central exhibition is used to present the documented realities to the visitors. In Svidník and its surroundings it is certainly worth visiting the Death Valley. Military History Museum is also located in Piešt'any.
