The Slovak National Museum – Museum of Rusyn Culture in Prešov is a specialist museum dedicated to documenting, preserving and presenting the history, culture and way of life of the Rusyns in Slovakia. It collects, professionally catalogues and preserves artefacts that document the material and spiritual culture, traditions, art, religious life and everyday life of the Rusyn population.

The museum is located in Prešov, which is an important centre of Rusyn culture and one of the regions with a historically significant Rusyn population. Through permanent displays, exhibitions, lectures and educational activities, it brings the history and cultural heritage of the Rusyns to the public. It is also involved in academic research and publishing, and collaborates with specialist and cultural institutions.

The SNM – Museum of Rusyn Culture plays a significant role in preserving the cultural identity of the Rusyns and in showcasing their cultural heritage. It also helps to raise awareness of the cultural diversity of the Prešov Region and Slovakia.

The SNM – Museum of Rusyn Culture is situated in Prešov on Masarykova Street. You can reach it on foot from the city centre, by public transport or by car; parking is available in the vicinity of the museum.
