A majestic, solitary mountain cone Guard (740 m above sea level), is of volcanic origin in the Spišsko-Sariš intermountains. It is one of the most distinctive landmarks in the surroundings of Prešov. It rises between Fintice and Veľký Šariš, north of Prešov. Thanks to its shape, it was in ancient times an ideal place for building fortified guard posts.
The summit itself is forested and does not provide views. However, in winter there is an opportunity for partial views not only from the summit but also from the hiking trail.
At an altitude of about 708 m above sea level, the wind storm created a nice view of the surrounding landscape. It is possible to observe Kloptáň from the Volovské hills, or Branisko itself, Bachureň, Levočské hills, hills of Ľubovnianská vrchovina, Busov, or other hills of the Ondavská vrchovina and in good weather also a beautiful view of the Tatras.
And how to determine the right weather for viewing these peaks? On the way to the peak itself (at the lookout point) there is an imitation weather station, which will explain how to correctly determine the current weather condition. With the help of the instructions at the weather station and weather observation, the tourist can determine the current state of the weather. This observation can also be written in a notebook in the clipboard. In this way, the hiker can also be informed of previous weather forecasts determining other hikers.
On the road near the crossroads Bodas there is a spring Angles, which springs up in three places close together. The latter is located in close proximity to the hiking trail. The path is also accompanied by the Stations of the Cross.
At the very top there is radio transmitter, under which there is a statue of the patron saint of firefighters - St. Florian.

The difficulty of this ascent is moderately difficult, the steeper ascent is at the end of the Stráž. Nevertheless, the climb is a pleasant trip in the vicinity of Prešov.
