In the south-western part of the village of Okružná, you will find the Dubová Hora Nature Reserve, which was designated as a Level 5 protected area in 1983. It is an area suitable for phytosociological studies and serves as a unique educational site, where you will find The rock complex of Djad - a natural rock formation on the south side of Dubova Hora. It consists of two dominant large rock cliffs, one below the hiking trail, the other higher above it, which also has a rock window. The name Džad comes from the original name Diad, i.e. Dedo, Dad. The bottom of the rock window situated above is about 6 m long and 3.5 m deep.
Other rock formations
Natural rock formation Mohylky is located on the top of the hill of the same name, situated on the northernmost ridge of the Slanské Hills, southeast of Okružná. It has an altitude of 817.4 m. The top massif of Mohyliek has the shape of an elongated pyramid.
Natural formation Stone face It is situated at the end of a side ridge that runs north-east from the summit of Mohyliek. It lies at the northern end of the ridge, so it is in fact a natural rock formation – the eroded front of a lava flow. Weathering and climatic conditions, combined with the natural properties of the rock undergoing these changes, have created a unique relief that resembles the features of a human face. When viewed as a whole, these features (eyes, nose, mouth…) – with a little imagination and creativity – do indeed resemble a human face carved into the stone.

An educational circular walk known as the ‘Mohylky’ trail is planned to start from Okružná in the near future; it will follow the route of the aforementioned hiking trail.
