Cycle route EXTREM 023 - MTB Alžbeta
MTB Alžbeta is a mountain trail that runs along the entire mountain range of the Salzkammergut from Prešov to the border with Hungary at Lake Veľká Izra. With a total length of 136 kilometres, it ranks among the long-distance routes. Up to 90 % runs along forest roads, away from motor traffic. It suits people with good physical fitness and a technical off-road driving style. As a whole, it is not designed for families, although some sub-sections are perfect for a day's cycling.
MTB section Alžbeta - Hermanovce - Javorová - Rudlov is one of the very difficult ones, either uphill or downhill, and therefore you have to count on either pushing the bike or bypassing the section. The route was signed in 2007, most of the direction signs are in good condition, the painted markings definitely need to be completed.
