The present wooden branch church in Vyšná Polianka was built in 1919 on the site of the original church from 1810. It was destroyed during World War I, probably by the army. The original church was dedicated, like the present one, to St. Paraskevi. The temple as it stands today, however, is smaller in size and much simpler in architecture than the original.
It is a small log building, three-space with one tower and two crosses. The tower is set into the vestibule. Originally there were three bells, but now there are only two.
The iconostasis was installed in this temple only for expedient reasons and is not of great artistic value.
Modification of the external environment of the temple was carried out in the 1990s. The last restoration was carried out in 2004.
