If, whilst visiting the Šariš region, you’re looking for an attraction where you can take a break from the usual sightseeing and get a proper adrenaline rush at the same time, Šariš Go-Karts in Veľký Šariš are a great choice. This modern indoor go-karting centre opened in 2019 and offers fun for children, adults, families, groups of friends and corporate groups. The advantage of an indoor track is that you can enjoy the ride whatever the weather.

A track that will put your driving skills to the test

The main attraction at Motokáry Šariš is the track itself. It has 455 metres long, 5 to 7 metres wide and with a total of 12 bends – four left-hand bends and eight right-hand bends. There are plenty of fast straights as well as more technical sections where precision and good timing are key. On selected parts of the track, it is possible to reach speeds of approximately 51 km/h.

It is precisely this mix of bends, technical sections and faster stretches that makes the drive interesting even on repeated visits. Your first run might be mainly about getting to know the track, but on subsequent laps you can keep an eye on your time, look for a better racing line and try to beat your own record or that of your rivals.

Go-karts for children and adults

A major advantage is that Motokáry Šariš caters for different age groups. Children’s go-karts are designed for children aged 7 to 15 who are at least 130 cm tall. They are fitted with an adjustable seat, steering wheel and pedals, and are also equipped with seatbelts.

SODI SR4 go-karts are available for adults, with with a power output of 9 HP and a Honda GX 270 engine. The adjustable pedals and seat allow the go-kart to be tailored to the driver, making for a more comfortable ride.

Fun for parents and children alike

If you’d like to go go-karting with a younger child, there’s also SODI 2DRIVE two-seater go-kart. It allows two people to ride together and is suitable, for example, for an adult and a child.

It is partly thanks to this option that go-karts are becoming an attraction that the whole family can enjoy. Instead of parents simply watching their children from the stands, they can get involved in the action themselves and share the experience together.

Who will be the fastest?

Go-karting naturally turns into a bit of a competition. You can compare your times with friends or family and see who can complete the fastest lap. Motokáry Šariš also offer an overview of results, records and times via the mobile app, so you can review your riding performance even after your ride.

For larger batches, the following are also available: private events and hire of the entire hall. This could be an interesting option for parties, team-building events, corporate functions or simply when you want to enjoy a go-kart ride with a whole group of friends.

What do you need before setting off?

You don’t need your own go-kart or helmet to drive. You can hire a safety helmet on site. However, a hygiene balaclava must be worn under your helmet; you can bring your own or buy one on site.

Sturdy footwear and suitable clothing are required when riding. Long hair must be tied back, and loose items of clothing, such as scarves, are not permitted.

Before setting off, every rider undergoes a brief safety briefing. There may be other riders on the track, so it is important to follow the rules, pay attention to the signals and show consideration for other riders.

Book your ride in advance
