If you go from Lipovce towards the village of Lačnov you will experience a „gravitational anomaly“ as the media called it a few years ago. This only „road“ will offer you an interesting spectacle. When you walk along it with the feeling that you are going downhill and put a bottle of water on the ground, or a ball, to your surprise it will roll uphill. If you leave your car in neutral, it will go uphill as well. This mystery has been investigated and three explanations have been offered. A disturbance in the gravitational field, a disturbance in the geomagnetic field, or simply an illusion of the eye. By various measurements, the geodesists finally came up with the statement that it was an optical illusion. It is said to be caused by the strangely built landscape around the hill, the strange way the trees grow and the curved horizon. The proof is supposed to be that when you descend to where the bottom of the hill should be, you don't feel the light feeling you get when you descend, but you start to get tired. So the eye illusion is probably the true explanation, but we'll leave it up to you and your imagination whether the experts are wrong or not. In any case, this place is worth trying out for yourself, as there is a similar phenomenon as far away as China.
