Among the attractions of national importance in Giraltovce is the oldest summer oak in the Svidník district. About 600 years old summer oak "stands" near the former manor house (near the cultural house), as a remnant of the former manor park. Protected by law, the historic summer oak (Quercus robur) is of natural and historical significance, which makes it worth noticing. It has a trunk circumference of 643 cm and a height of 17 m. It was planted in the 14th century by a member of the Széchy family, who owned land in the area at that time. It is majestic, the trunk is well preserved, the crown of the tree is regular. In 2007 it was included in the Tree of the Year 2007 survey.
