The classicist manor house dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. It served as a summer residence of the Szirmay family, which owned the Makovický estate and Zborov Castle. From the 17th century they were the owners of the Makovický manor, within which Kurima was an important settlement developed into a landowner's town. In the central hall of the manor, murals depicting portraits of former nobles were still visible on the ceiling in the 1960s. They were painted over during the renovation in 1947, when the manor became the seat of a burgher school, later a primary school. Extensive restoration of the mansion took place in the 1980s.
