Hockey in Prešov has been writing its history since the 1920s. In 1928 there were even two hockey clubs in the city. Their greatest success so far was in 1932, when Slávia Prešov won the title of Slovak champion.
The hockey stadium is the home stadium of the hockey club HC Prešov. The capacity of the stand is 3 440 spectators and it contains 4 buffets, which are functional during the matches of the A-team and also the youth. In addition to hockey matches, the stadium is also used for public skating. The weekly schedule can be found on the rink's website. The capacity of the ice area for public skating is 350 persons.
