The village of Drienica is situated below the southern slopes of the Čergov Mountains, four kilometres north of Sabinov. In the village you can see a two-storey log folk house from the beginning of the 20th century, which was declared a national cultural monument in 1979. The upper part of the village flows smoothly into the Drienica - Lysá hora recreational and sports complex with accommodation facilities. The area is connected with Čergov by marked hiking trails, so it offers many opportunities for active hiking in the beautiful forests of Čergov. The Lysá hill is popular for its beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, but the easy hike to Podbaranie with its nice resting places and interesting historical wooden houses in the Baraniarky homestead is also attractive. Drienica also attracts tourists all year round thanks to its 25-metre indoor swimming pool and wellness centre, which includes a salt cave, sauna, massages and various whirlpools. Popular ski trails connected by lifts offer various winter sports opportunities for children, beginners and more demanding skiers.
