Regional Tourism Organisation Región Šariš in cooperation with a professional photographer OneSilentStep invites all photography lovers to the spring competition SHARIS PHOTO 2026. Capture nature, show us your favourite places or the wild fauna and flora of Šariš and introduce them to the world through your lens.
Competition categories
You can choose one (or all) of the three themes:
- Nature of Šariš - scenery and landscape
- Wilderness of Šariš - wild animals
- My piece of Šariš - your favourite place in the region
👉 Each author can submit a maximum of 3 photos - one for each category.
How to enter and the terms and conditions of the competition
The competition is open to everyone - amateur and professional. You can take photos with professional equipment or mobile phone. The photo sent to the competition must meet the following conditions:
- the photo must be created in the Šariš region
- must date from the period spring 2026
- must be original (without AI interference) and no watermark
- Format: JPG / JPEG / PNG, max. size 20 MB
You can enter the competition if
You send the competition photo to marketing@regionsaris.sk (subject: COMPETITION) to 15 May 2026 and in the email, please state:
- name and contact details (phone number, email)
- title and description of the photo
- place of origin of the photograph
- the category in which you want to compete

What are you playing for?
Great prizes await the winners. We will award the first 3 places in each category. The main prizes are
- family boating on Sigord
- experiential photo shoot with to professionals
- entry into Slovak Opal Mines for 2 persons
How is the evaluation carried out?
The winners will be decided by an expert jury, taking into account the reactions of the public. After the competition closes, a shortlist of the top photos in each category will be selected and presented online.
