Modern aquapark Lipany
Aquapark Lipany is a universal aquapark, where you will find healing thermal water, up to 13 water slides and 8 swimming pools. All this on an area of 1811 m².Water from depths of up to 3 400 metres
The gift received by the town of Lipany is unique. The donor was Mother Nature herself and the gift was thermal water with a temperature of 80 to 90 degrees Celsius. In the 1980s, explorations were carried out in the town in order to find oil or natural gas. They did not find these, but instead came across a thermal spring, which they used thanks to a former gas well, which was subsequently abandoned and the well closed. The well was revived in 2007. The geothermal borehole is structurally built to a depth of 3400 metres and hot water is pumped from there. This precious natural resource has a very large potential for energy generation as well. The thermal borehole in Lipany has a water pressure of 3.3 MPA, a flow rate of 30 litres per second and is located on a hill.Plenty of places to sunbathe
Aquapark Lipany is the newest thermal aquapark in Slovakia and the only one located in the mountains - in the town of Lipany. It is located between Poprad and Presov, only 22 km from the Polish border and 40 km from Krynica-Zdrój. It is only an hour's drive from nearby Košice. On an area of 2.5 hectares you will find up to 8 swimming pools with water temperatures from 28°C to 39°C, whirlpools, 13 water slides, beach volleyball courts, hundreds of sun loungers around the pools and on a beautiful green hill overlooking the mountains. The pools have a total area of 1811 m². The complex offers seasonal pools, which are open during the holidays, as well as year-round pools. Fun in the water park would not be possible without water slides, which is why you will find up to 13 of them, 10 outdoor and 3 indoor. The total length of all slides is 365 m. Two 14 x 40 m beach volleyball courts complete the active leisure activities. Šariš also offers other exceptional water parks.
