Discover Pečovská Nová Ves from a new perspective. The wooden observation tower, situated near the Jewish cemetery, offers a pleasant destination for a leisurely stroll, a family outing or a stop on a cycle tour. Thanks to its location above the village, visitors can enjoy a sweeping panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.
Views of Šariš and the surrounding mountain ranges
The various viewing floors offer views in all directions. In favourable weather conditions and with good visibility, you can see the Čergov, Bachureň and Slanské vrchy mountain ranges, the surroundings of Šariš Castle and, in the distance, the panorama of the High Tatras.
A wooden structure over 16 metres high
The observation tower is a four-storey wooden structure with steel connecting and anchoring elements. Its total height exceeds 16 metres. The viewing platforms are located on the second and third storeys, with the highest covered balcony situated approximately 12 metres above ground level.
A wooden ladder-style staircase with a handrail leads to the individual floors. Climbing the stairs therefore requires extra care and sturdy footwear.
Practical information for visitors
In good weather and when visibility is good, the observation tower is open all day. A maximum of 20 people may be on the balconies at any one time.
Children aged between 6 and 15 may only enter when accompanied by an adult. Children under the age of 6 are not permitted entry. Animals are not allowed on the observation tower.
All visitors enter the observation tower in accordance with their physical abilities and at their own risk.
