How do you get there? Feel free to leave your car at home; a free shuttle service will take you straight to the event – timetable TU.
Have you ever wanted to see what it’s like inside a bus from the driver’s perspective, or what happens to a trolleybus when it returns to the depot? If so, we warmly invite you to Open Day at DPMP 2026, where we’ll be delighted to show you everything that usually remains hidden from passengers.
What’s in store for you at the venue?
- Nostalgia and modernity: You’ll get a close-up look at and explore both old historical legends and the very latest vehicles that criss-cross our city every day.
- Tour of the repair workshops: The mechanics will take you to the areas where vehicles are repaired, inspected and prepared for the road.
- Stands run by the individual departments of DPMP: Find out first-hand how transport technology, traffic control, fare systems and transport monitoring, ticket machines and the operation of fixed traction equipment (PTZ) work.
- An event involving paramedics and police officers: Emergency services and the police will be demonstrating their techniques and rapid response skills live.
- Plenty of fun for children: For the little ones, there’ll be bouncy castles, a traffic playground, loads of attractions and a programme of entertainment – they certainly won’t be bored.
- Music, performances and a great atmosphere: A DJ will provide the catchy beat, the world champions from ABC Cheerleaders will be performing, and talented pupils from the Dama School of Arts in Prešov will be taking to the stage.
- A raffle and something to eat: A prize draw with fantastic prizes awaits you, and there’ll be plenty of street food on offer in the fast-food zone.
