The Šariš Museum invites the general public to an exhibition entitled ‘Treasures of Nature – from the Caribbean to Siberia’.
In 2026, the museum will mark two significant anniversaries – 70th anniversary of the founding of the Natural History Department of the Šariš Museum, founded by PhMr. Tibor Weisz, and 40th anniversary of the opening of the exhibition „The Nature of North-Eastern Slovakia and Its Conservation“.
Exhibition opening: 17 September 2026 (Thursday) at 4.30 pm
Duration of the exhibition: by 10 January 2027 (Sunday)
Venue: Šariš Museum – Exhibition Hall, Radničné námestie 13, Bardejov
The exhibition takes visitors on a journey into the fascinating world of nature – from the exotic From the Caribbean to mysterious Siberia. There will also be an exhibition of interesting natural history collections from the Šariš Museum’s storeroom, which visitors do not normally see when viewing the permanent exhibition.
The exhibition will appeal not only to nature lovers, as well as the general public, and will offer visitors the chance to explore a unique section of the Šariš Museum’s natural history collections.
