We invite the general public to the event Podhradík Village Day, which will take place to mark the 625th anniversary of the first written record of the village.
When? 12 September 2026 (Saturday) at 2.00 pm
Where? Municipality Podhradik
The official opening and the main cultural programme will begin at 2.00 pm in front of the Podhradík Town Hall. The performers will include children from the Podhradík nursery school, the girls from Ľešnikovo, Senioranka, the men from Šebeš, the men from Raslavice and the Raslavice Musicians.
There’s something for the children too. Maroš Kamoš will be performing at 3.00 pm at the Podhradík nursery school grounds. There’ll be bouncy castles, foam building blocks, candyfloss and sweet popcorn.
The cooking competition will start at 10.00 Podhradí Open Pot Festival. Tasting of the competition entries will begin at 2.00 pm and the results will be announced at 4.00 pm. Light refreshments will also be available throughout the event.
The programme will include a display of fire-fighting and military equipment, an exhibition of photographs and photographic equipment by Richard Varga, an exhibition of aerial photographs of the village of Podhradík, and a virtual presentation of monarchs and presidents throughout the history of Slovakia.
