LYSHISTORICALLY FIRSTYES IT WILL HAPPENSEE
Until now, the Ski Lysá ski resort has been subject to the weather and the moods of nature. The start and length of the season depended on whether it snowed properly and also what the temperatures were. Lysá has long dreamed of one day being able to help itself to ideal skiing conditions.
At a time when natural snow is becoming less and less every year, artificial snow is a necessity for ski resorts. Why? ,,Seasidea vJust don't let goí. Snow, whichhey would be sustainedUnfortunately, below 700 m above sea level is notReal. Today atinsketches lyžiarské centresYes, it workson artificial snow. We mwe got it Happiness, that they nachWe are above 700 m above sea level and the snow isás udrthey live betterThese. Nie inforks on skisharvesting, just to skialp and beWomen,” explains one of the owners of Ski Lysá, Kamil Kozma.
The Ski Lysá team has been working for many months to make sure that there will be snow this winter season. ,"PurposeI'm dreamingharvesting, vrin the state ofShekof technical equipment as withú pumping stations, retenNoe supersectorsthat and hadwaterThe work took almost half a year, “ cites the length and scope of Kozma's work and adds ,, It wont byno morea year of work. With allSeewhile deployedT h e wholetT hey are nI managed to do it in half a year.”
Introducing a snowmaking system to a resort whose location is so unique was a real nut to crack. It was necessary to obtain a number of permits, to haul water from a distance of three kilometres and, last but not least, to face the many obstacles that (as it happens) are associated with such a project. ,,Foundthe more they were indiggers. Tothat we have come across extrextremely hardthe floorLives. It must be saidť, already downhe bringsNo, almost 50% intanks are alsowent in pure rock. It nyou snaphas increased and complicated the nI got it extrémne life,” Kozma recalls the most difficult moments.
On 18 December, the Ski Lysá team managed to carry out a functional test of the snowmaking system and was able to start snowmaking. Visitors are interested to know what the current skiing conditions are like. Kozma reports the current situation: ,"Snow on the slopesin the15 - 20 cm is readyý. Waitwe'll be on aftertimes, whiché nto enable meReaphe falls asleeplivethat the conditions are eof high qualityThese.”
The historical moment for Lysá in the form of snowmaking is enjoyed by visitors and the resort itself: ,,We are awareí, which we have proved, but fromploughsnot inľme tiredí. Thank you to your familiesI thank them for their patienceť, tothat we have sacrificed a lotSee time, energy and nerves to make this dreamyjovacthey have implemented the project.” The Ski Lysá resort is closed due to the pandemic situation, like the others, and plans to open its doors to visitors on 24 January.
