After two years of restrictions, it is here again 18th European Night of Museums and Galleries (La Nuit européenne des musées), which will take place on Saturday 14 May 2022. On that evening, many museums will open their doors across Slovakia from dusk to midnight. Guided tours, entertaining educational tours, workshops, screenings, live performances, and special events will provide visitors with an unusual museum experience.
This year, cultural institutions in the Šariš region are also taking part in the pan-European event, which is carried out under the patronage of the Council of Europe. The aim is to present cultural heritage, the importance of its preservation and protection in cultural exchange, dissemination of information about the cultural diversity of individual countries and regions of Europe, informal education and cultivated leisure.
