The 10th Film Night is coming to Šariš Castle. Experiences under the stars will be taken care of
The unique festival full of extraordinary outdoor experiences - Film Night at the Castle (FNNH) is back. The organizers have filled the program with interesting films, performances and workshops. An attractive novelty will be the Warm up event with the premiere film at the ponds in Veľký Šariš.
The 10th edition of the multi-genre festival Film Night at the Castle, which is the only one of its kind in the whole of Central Europe, is heading to Šariš Castle. From 14 July to 17 July 2022, the historic grounds of the castle will be the place to be for cinematic delights, excellent music and entertainment. However, there will also be stimulating discussions, a varied programme for children, engaging theatres and, above all, a lot of good and quality films.
„Of course, we will also offer long-form films to visitors. One of them will be The Shop on the Waterfront, which this year celebrates the 65th anniversary of winning the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. We will be screening it on 35mm film, which is a great rarity these days, so I'm sure it will appeal to younger visitors as well. In addition, we will be screening this film in the presence of distinguished guests,“said Peter Vlkovič, organiser of the FNNH festival.The hot news of the current edition of the festival will be the Warm up event, which is planned on the eve of the festival weekend - 14.7.2022, in a pleasant environment near the ponds in the cadastre of Veľký Šariš. It will be a beach cinema with two films, which will be an absolute premiere in Veľký Šariš and the surrounding region. The first film will be a family-friendly fairy tale called The Enchanted Cave, starting at 5:30 p.m. It will be followed by a nationwide cinema premiere in the form of the comedy Hádkovci, which will come on at 21:00.
On Friday 15.7. and Saturday 16.7.2022 the festival will continue with the main programme, which will traditionally take place on the castle hill at Šariš Castle. Experiences under the stars will be perfectly taken care of and enthusiasts who decide to spend the whole night at the castle will again have the opportunity to camp directly in the castle grounds. Visitors to the Film Night at the Castle festival could During its nine years of existence and one year in between, see more than 700 films (including shorts and features) and enjoy nearly 50 musical performances by artists. In addition, the festival offered a number of discussions, lectures, workshops, chill out zones, radio zones, children's corners with complete childcare. A number of films were screened nationally and some even had their world festival premiere. These were important Slovak film works of world importance, and there were lively discussions for fans with the participation of guests and filmmakers.
Throughout the duration of the festival there will be in the children's zone SWAP. It is a mutual exchange of clothes in a friendly way. Give clothes a chance to shine again and relieve our planet of more unnecessary things. SWAP will be general in nature, not just focused on clothing. You can bring anything from plants to books to jewelry.
