Sabinov Municipal Swimming Pool

Sabinov Municipal Swimming Pool, also known as „Kupko pod Šancom“, is one of the favourite spots in the Šariš region for summer relaxation, swimming and leisure activities. It is situated on Levočská Street in Sabinovo and during the summer season it offers visitors a combination of swimming, leisure and children’s water areas. The complex is designed to cater for active swimmers, families with children and visitors who simply want to relax by the water on hot days.

Three swimming pools for different types of visitors

The complex is dominated by three swimming pools, each with a different purpose. The largest, a 50-metre competition pool, is 25 metres wide and between 130 and 180 centimetres deep. It is primarily intended for swimming and sporting activities. The second, a 25-metre leisure pool, measures 25 × 12 metres and is 130 centimetres deep. For our youngest visitors, there is a children’s pool measuring 12 × 4 metres and 30 centimetres deep.

The layout of the pools allows visitors to choose according to their needs. Whilst the large pool offers plenty of space for traditional swimming, the leisure pool is better suited to a more relaxed swim, and the children’s pool provides a safer environment for the youngest visitors.

A space for families with children

The Sabinov Municipal Swimming Pool is also ideal for families looking for something to do for a few hours or a whole day during the summer. As well as a children’s pool, the complex features a children’s playground, and inflatable castles and a trampoline are available for children to use free of charge. This means a visit doesn’t have to be all about swimming, and children can spend part of the day away from the pools.

Sport and active leisure

The swimming pool complex isn’t just for lounging by the water. Visitors can make use of the beach games area, the badminton courts and the table tennis area. Sports equipment can also be hired in accordance with the current price list. Items available for hire include, for example, badminton and speed badminton rackets, a table tennis set and a volleyball.

Thanks to these facilities, the swimming pool complex can be an attractive alternative even for visitors who do not want to spend the whole day just in the water. After a swim or a spot of sunbathing, they can play a game of sport and make the most of their time at the complex.

Swimming lessons for active swimmers

The Sabinov swimming pool also caters for those who come primarily to swim. On weekdays during the season, there are morning swimming sessions for swimmers. At weekends, there are designated times for early evening swimming.

This option may be particularly useful for regular swimmers or people who want to go for a swim before work without having to spend the whole morning at the swimming pool.

Free parking at the swimming pool

One advantage for visitors arriving by car is free parking. The car park is located next to the swimming pool complex, so visitors do not need to look for a paid parking space in the town centre.

The Sabinov municipal swimming pool offers a wide range of activities during the summer months. Visitors can come specifically to swim in the 50-metre pool, spend the day with their children by the water, play beach or racket sports, relax in the sun or enjoy refreshments right on the premises.
