On Wednesday 18.9.2024 the first ever meeting of regional producers within the project "Made in Šariš" took place, which was in the spirit of inspiration, cooperation and support of local producers. The event created a space for mutual exchange of experience, innovative ideas and strengthening of regional identity through the quality of local products.
A rich programme full of inspiring lectures
The agenda was carefully designed to provide valuable insights and practical advice to the participants:- Ms Elexová from the Banská Bystrica Self-Governing Region presented the concept "Regional labelling of products and services in Slovakia", which has opened up new perspectives for increasing the value of local products through certification and labelling.
- Mrs. Ursini followed up with a lecture on "Regional counters and unique products from the Banská Bystrica region", where she stressed the importance of effective presentation of regional products and showed examples of good practice.
- Mr. Halaj - Director of OOCR Region Šariš introduced the concept of the project itself "Made in Šariš", which aims to support local producers, promote their products and create opportunities for cooperation.

The inspiring lectures were followed by a presentation of regional products, where participants had the opportunity to present their products, exchange advice and share experiences. It was an excellent opportunity to make new contacts and build a network of cooperation between local producers.
About the project "Made in Šariš"
Project "Made in Šariš" supports local producers, craftsmen and entrepreneurs from the Šariš region. Its main objective is to promote quality craft, agricultural and food products under a common quality label "Made in Šariš". This label is awarded to products that meet strict quality criteria, represent handmade, regional origin and uniqueness of Šariš. The label also applies to services that guarantee an authentic experience for visitors to the region.Positive feedback and prospects for the future
The meeting met with positive feedback from the participants who appreciated the opportunity to share experiences and establish new collaborations. We look forward to further meetings and continued cooperation, which will benefit all stakeholders and contribute to the development of the regional brand Made in Šariš.
