If you’re going to an event Jazz Prešov 2026 years; the second evening is exactly what you go to "jazz gigs" for. Three bands, five countries on one stage, and acts that wouldn’t normally make it to Prešov.

Guitarist and composer Peter Uher He makes music that defies categorisation — it blends contemporary jazz, ambient, electronic music and free improvisation. With the bass guitarist Branislav Valanský and the drummer by Michal Čerevko invited two of Europe’s leading musicians onto the stage. An Italian trumpeter Luca Aquino He has a lyrical, instantly recognisable tone and approaches the trumpet in his own unique way. And the Pole Ghostman? He uses his own voice as if it were an instrument. You won’t believe it until you’ve heard it live.
HANDS ON STRINGS /DE/ Two guitars. Nothing more. And it sounds like a whole band with the richness of an orchestra. Thomas Fellow and Stephan Bormann are among the most influential guitarists on the contemporary scene — Bormann used to play with Nils Landgren, whilst Fellow is the driving force behind the European Guitar Quartet. The Free Ride programme blends world music, classical and jazz in such a way that you cease to perceive the boundaries between them. Tommy Emmanuel had this to say about them: they’re fantastic.
EUGEN VIZVÁRY GROUP /SK, FI/ A fifteen-year-old bass guitarist who has been praised by both Quincy Jones and Timbaland. A drummer who played for years with the Japanese pianist Hiromi. An R&B singer on the jazz stage. And one of the most distinctive young talents on the Finnish scene, who switches between the guitar and a six-string bass guitar.
At the end of the evening, the pianist and producer put all this together Eugen Vizváry: Áron Hodek, Martin Valihora, Anita Soul and Johannes Granroth. The set list will feature new tracks as well as a selection from all four of his albums, including *Part 2: For Jaco*, which won the Radio_Head Award for Jazz Album of the Year.
Jazz blended with funk, soul and Brazilian groove — ranging from atmospheric, melodic and moving moments to energetic bursts full of improvisation that will have you on the edge of your seat.
