On Sunday 8 February 2026 the historic city centre Prešov became the scene of an extraordinary experience. Event Discovering Prešov - Love Stories offered participants an unconventional view of the city through romantic, often forgotten love stories that took place in its streets, courtyards and corners.
The participants went on a thematic walk through the city, during which they got to know Prešov not through dates and facts, but through emotions, fates and human stories. Loves both happy and unfulfilled, secret meetings, promises and break-ups - all set in an authentic urban environment, which gave the narrative of the long-time guide Andrea Sivanic unique atmosphere.
The event naturally connected history, culture and storytelling and showed that Prešov is a city with a rich memory and a strong genius loci. Stories that would otherwise remain hidden in archives or legends came to life directly on the ground and allowed visitors to perceive the city more personally, more deeply and, above all, with their hearts.
Project Discovering Prešov has long been bringing experiential forms of getting to know the city, which are designed not only for visitors, but also for locals. Thematic part Love Stories confirmed that Prešov has a lot to offer throughout the year, not only as a historical destination, but also as a place full of emotions, stories and inspiration.
