The summer in the metropolis of Šariš will be kicked off by the Days of the City of Prešov and the Prešov Trinity Fair

We will welcome summer in Prešov together in style. PKO in cooperation with the City of Prešov and event partners invite you to an exceptional Prešov City Days from 3 to 8 June 2025 and the Prešov Trinity Fair. There are six days full of varied programme, great music and fun activities for children, youth and adults.
From 3 to 8 June 2025, a spectacular programme of the Days of the City of Prešov and the Prešov Trinity Fair awaits all residents and visitors of the city of Prešov. The main venue will already be traditionally the pedestrian zone. The stage will be located at the Cathedral of St. Nicholas. The programme is designed to appeal to all ages. The Main Stage will feature singer Jana Kirschner, No Name, Štefan Štec and Fajta, Nocadeň, Komajota, Basawell, Porsche Boy, Prešov elementary schools, comedy show Sranda Banda and many others. In the zone of crafts and traditional folk culture, folklore will come alive in the performance of folk folklore ensembles and groups such as FS Dúbrava, DFS Šarišanček, FS Rozmarija, FS Šariš, FS Karpat'anin, Kelemeske Furmani, fujarista Adam Magula and others. The craft zone will include demonstrations of traditional crafts, such as bell casting, felting, leatherwork, carving, jewellery making and many others, which visitors will be able to try out for themselves. The Prešov City Days associated with the Prešov Trinity Fair will bring six days full of music, traditions, crafts and entertainment for all ages. We are expecting more than 6,000 visitors during the evening concerts and we are expecting a total attendance of more than 40,000 people during the entire event,“ said Barbora Rusiňáková, director of PKO Prešov. For the safe and smooth course of the event, the city centre of Prešov will be closed to traffic from 6 June 2025 from 8:15 a.m. to 9 June 2025 until 03:00 a.m. Public transport will run on the standard detour route through Okružná Street, as the sales stands will also be located on asphalt road. The streets will be filled with vendors selling both traditional and modern goods - handmade products, gifts and other handicrafts. Visitors can also enjoy gastro experiences in the form of tasty food and refreshing drinks. There will also be seating at selected stages for visitors to enjoy the culture more comfortably. Carousels and amusement rides will be set up from Peace Square to the main stage, creating a long children's zone full of joy and fun. This year, the Days of the City of Prešov will also have an ecological dimension. Visitors will pay a deposit of €2 for a returnable cup when buying their first drink. They can then keep the cup as a souvenir or return it to two marked places where the deposit will be returned to them. The cups will only be returnable at specially designated kiosks. During the Days of the City of Prešov from 3 to 8 June 2025, landmarks of the city of Prešov, such as the building of the historic town hall, the Water Tower, the Caraffa Prison or the footbridge at the University of Prešov, will be will be lit in red. A varied accompanying programme is also prepared. Visitors will be able to take a peek behind the scenes of the city's leadership during the Open Day at the office of the Mayor of Prešov, František Oľha, and meet him in person. „I would like to cordially invite all Prešov citizens, as well as people from the whole region to the Days of the City of Prešov and the Prešov Trinity Fair. This is an exceptional concept of a city festival, for the first time in such an extended format with a city centre closure and a unique crafts show. Together with PKO Prešov, we are bringing culture to the city, directly among the people. Entrance to concerts and workshops is free and open to all, as is the town hall building, where I am very happy to welcome Prešov residents and visitors to the Prešov City Days. The historical premises of the Caraffa Prison and the Orthodox Synagogue will be open to visitors free of charge on selected days, along with guided tours. It will also be possible to climbing the tower of St. Nicholas Cathedral with a view of the whole of Prešov (entrance fee: 2 €). A unique experience not only for children will also be the performance of fencers and falconers, demonstrations of work with predators, fencing duels and period scenes, a workshop with fujar player Adam Magula and a folk dance workshop led by experienced dancers Vladimír Michalek, Ivana Topoľovská and ĽH Mateja Rendoš. There will also be the traditional competition for the best and tastiest Šarišská mačanka. On Friday, 6 June 2025, there will be a spectacular parade through the centre of Prešov led by the Mayor and the city administration.
