The Park of Culture and Leisure (PKO) in Prešov cordially invites all music lovers to the 59th Prešov Music Autumn. This unique musical cycle will bring six exceptional concerts from 1 October to 5 November 2025 in the concert hall of PKO Čierny Orol and in the St. Nicholas Cathedral.
The orchestra will open the musical autumn on 1 October at 19:00 FATS JAZZ BAND, known for its authentic revival of hot jazz and swing of the 20s-40s. Audiences can enjoy original arrangements, period costumes and the unforgettable atmosphere of legendary parties. On October 8, 2025 at 19:00 will be presented Jozef Chovanec Acoustic Trio, which will offer a combination of folk song, jazz and world music. The trio creates an intimate yet dynamic musical atmosphere where tradition meets modern elements to create a captivating sound experience. As part of the 10th Polish Days in Prešov, on 14 October 2025 at 19:00 will take place Inaugural concert of Małgorzata Anna Mokrús. The pianist, who was awarded the Director's Prize of the Polish Institute in Bratislava, will present a repertoire that combines classical music with contemporary Polish compositions and delivers a profound artistic experience. Jazz fans can look forward to Robert Balzar Trio, which will perform on 22 October 2025 at 19:00. The Czech bass guitarist and composer, known for his collaborations with Dan Barta and Hana Hegerova, will perform energetic and sophisticated world jazz, combining technical brilliance with an unmistakable musical spark. An exceptional moment of the musical autumn will be organ recital by Juraj Křemen, which will take place on 26 October 2025 at 19:00 at St. Nicholas Cathedral. The first Slovak to give a concert in the prestigious Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris, he will showcase his interpretive bravura, improvisational originality and the fascinating sound of the organ in a historic space. The Prešov Music Autumn will culminate on 5 November 2025 at 19:00 with the final concert of compositions Béla Kéler and his contemporaries, which will remind 205th anniversary of Keeler's birth and 75th birthday Prof. Irena Medňanska. The musical evening will present classical works, Kéler's compositions and the works of his contemporaries, combining tradition with an inspiring contemporary concept.
