Music that tells stories, awakens emotions and can surprise and move. Concert Ľubica Čekovská and Slovak Quartet will present an evening of contemporary chamber music performed by one of the most successful Slovak composers and a top string ensemble of the young generation.
Creating Ľubice Čekovská is heard on major European stages, in opera houses and at contemporary music festivals. Her compositions are energetic, colourful and full of tension, yet at the same time lyrical and deeply human - combining modern musical language with natural melodicism and strong emotionality that appeals to professionals and general audiences alike. Each composition creates a world of its own into which the listener is drawn from the first note.
The Slovak quartet, known for its precise interplay, refined sound and attention to detail, gives this music both intensity and subtlety. Together, they create a unique meeting of authorial invention and cutting-edge interpretation.
