The festival’s second concert FESTUM PREŠOV 2026 will be part of the set The Mucha Quartet, one of the most prominent chamber ensembles in Slovakia. The quartet was formed in 2003 in Bratislava and, since its inception, has established an exceptional reputation on both the domestic and international music scenes.

The Mucha Quartet has won prestigious international competitions and regularly performs at major festivals such as the Prague Spring, the Bratislava Music Festival and concerts at the Musikverein in Vienna. Throughout its artistic career, the orchestra has performed in most European countries, as well as in Asia and overseas. It has produced several award-winning recordings and has earned acclaim for its precise ensemble playing, interpretative maturity and exceptional sensitivity to musical detail.
The audience can look forward to an evening of chamber music at its very best. The programme will feature works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Iris Szeghy – a prominent Slovak composer and native of Prešov, who celebrated her 70th birthday this year.
