Different countries, one tradition.
From 6 to 8 August 2026, the historic centre of Prešov will host the first edition of Festival of Countries and Traditions – a new international folklore festival, which will feature three days packed with music, dance, traditions, crafts and regional specialities.
Folklore ensembles from Slovakia, Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria and Ukraine will perform on a single stage, giving visitors a taste of the rich folk culture of their respective countries.
During the festival, you can look forward to:
- opening gala programme
- performances by Slovak and international folk ensembles
- a folklore procession through the town centre,
- a dance school without borders
- traditional games
- the ‘Discover and Experience Šariš’ zone
- Markets with a smile
- a tasting of Šarišská mačanka
- evening concerts by the bands ICONITO and MALALATA
