In March, the month of the book, we will go to the new home of the P. O. Hviezdoslav Regional Library in Prešov. We will see how the reconstruction of three monuments and a solitary building into a single whole, dominated by an impressive Art Nouveau pavilion and a rescued old plane tree, was carried out. Behind the old walls we discover a modern and unusually designed interior. From the medieval cellars to the modern attic, we will take a peek into every corner of the library, and we will not bypass the selection of archaeological finds or the beautifully restored ceiling in the Regional Documents Centre.
You can discover the new library and its nooks and crannies together with conservationist Adriana Krafčíková, bibliographer Ľubica Liptáková and regionalist Andrea Sivaničová on Sunday 09 March 2025 at 14:00* in front of the Regional Library on Slovenska 18.
