On 19-20 March 2026 a prestigious professional conference took place at the Hotel Zerrenpach Látky Destination Slovakia Summit 2026, which annually brings together key players in the tourism industry in Slovakia. The event was organized by the Slovak Association of Travel Agencies and Travel Agencies (SACKA) in cooperation with Slovakia Travel and partners.
The conference offered a rich professional programme focused on current challenges and opportunities in tourism. Discussions were devoted mainly to the development of tourism products, cooperation with the state, trends in inbound marketing and effective marketing of Slovakia as a destination. The programme also included panel discussions on the symbiosis of entities in tourism and the role of regional organisations in the creation of comprehensive products.
An important part of the event was the so-called. Sales Missions, where comprehensive tourist destinations of Slovakia were presented. Representatives of the regions presented new products and experience packages linking nature, culture and authentic regional experiences.
There was also a B2B business exchange, which created space for meetings between tourism organisations, hoteliers, guides and tour operators. This form of cooperation enabled the establishment of new partnerships and promoted concrete business opportunities.
The Šariš region with its products such as Slanské vrchy, The Way of the Kings and Podoby soli were also actively presented at the conference. At the same time, there was also positive feedback on the potential of the Slanské vrchy Mountains as a „hidden gem“ for incentive tourism.
The event brought a lot of inspiring meetings, professional knowledge and suggestions for further development of tourism. Participants appreciated especially the opportunity to exchange experiences, build partnerships and jointly seek solutions to strengthen Slovakia's position as an attractive tourist destination.
Both the organisers and the participants evaluate the conference as a successful and beneficial platform for further development of cooperation in the tourism sector.
