In October, together with by Martin Dudáš and, through his collection of period photographs and stories, we’ll bring them into the present day a now-defunct suburb of Prešov behind the former upper gate. We’ll explore how Horný Hušták came into being in the Middle Ages and what it looked like at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. We’ll take a closer look at the houses in this area, their owners and tenants, and we’ll also get a glimpse of what Peace Squares from a decade ago.
If you’re wondering where it was Schmiedt’s Ironworks known as Singer’s House, where it once stood Lajoška Pub Whether it’s the renowned stud farm, which housed a branch of Tatrabanka where Jozef Gregor Tajovský worked, or what the horse markets were like – come along on Sunday 11 October 2026 at 2.00 pm* in front of the Tourist Information Centre (TIC) in Prešov at Hlavna 67.
He will be accompanied by Andrea Sivaničová and will exhibit the historical photographs at the P. O. Hviezdoslav Regional Library in Prešov Martin Dudáš.
*Please note that the number of tickets is limited and tickets may no longer be available at the venue. We recommend buying tickets in advance at the TIC during opening hours (Monday–Friday 9.00 am–6.00 pm, Saturday 9.00 am–2.00 pm) or online TU.
