Experience the unique atmosphere of this historic castle after dark! Night of the Castle Ruins 2026 will take place on Saturday 15 August 2026 at Šariš Castle and will feature an afternoon and evening programme for visitors of all ages.

An Afternoon with Majka
From 14:00 Visitors can look forward to a creative afternoon with Majka, which will feature:
- creative workshops and a paper-making workshop,
- an educational trail combined with a treasure hunt – in the evening with Majka’s torch,
- a meeting with the castle treasure hunter,
- a photo session on Majka’s throne and a host of other Majka activities.
Evening programme
From 19:00 The main evening programme will begin:
- 7.00 pm – traditional castle barbecue,
- 21:00 – a visual projection inspired by the castle’s history and light signals,
- 10.00 pm – a torchlight procession around the courtyard and stargazing,
- 10.00 pm – a photo of Majka on the throne and lots of other Majka-related activities.
Come and enjoy an evening full of history, light, entertainment and an unforgettable atmosphere Šariš Castle. The Night of the Castle Ruins is an opportunity to experience the castle in a completely different way – under the starry sky, by torchlight and in the company of other history and castle enthusiasts.
