Do you feel that life on social media is getting the better of you? That, rather than bringing you peace of mind, endless scrolling is draining your energy, causing anxiety or making you constantly compare yourself to an unrealistic world? And you, as parents, do you understand everything your children are facing online today, and how it is quietly changing their behaviour, their mental health or their relationship with their own bodies? Social media is a great tool, but the algorithms are designed to consume us.
Come along and listen to the debate Marca itself, full of practical advice for young people and frank answers for parents. The following accepted the invitation Lea Jaššová, an activist and social media manager who speaks first-hand about the immense pressure young people are under as a result of digital platforms, Tomáš Kriššák, an expert in information and cognitive security and media literacy, who knows exactly how algorithms work, how they manipulate our attention, and how to defend ourselves effectively against these threats, and Tomáš Šeďo, an expert in social work, counselling and the prevention of socio-pathological phenomena, who specialises in risk factors in young people’s behaviour, including their radicalisation online.

This discussion isn’t about lecturing or banning mobile phones. It’s about prevention, practical solutions and how to maintain your sanity and mental wellbeing in the online world.
