The play *Chlast!*
Slovaks, let’s be honest, do we drink too little? Is the glass of life more half-empty after forty, or have we been missing something ever since we were born? According to the Norwegian philosopher and psychiatrist Finn Skårderud, we’re born with a deficiency of alcohol in our blood. We need to top up our „level“… to at least half a per mille.

In the play *Chlast*, four teachers and friends of a certain age drift aimlessly through life. The charismatic Martin, a history teacher, goes through one dull stage of life after another. The sensitive music teacher Peter stands in stark contrast to the PE teacher Tommy, who knows how to raise his voice – and not just on the sports field.
