Not a traditional classical music concert.
The cimbalom, with a difference. Classical music, with a difference.
Special guests Classic with Roots is a personal project by a Slovak cimbalom player Ľubomíra Gašpar, which presents classical music in a completely new light. It blends it with the folk roots of Slovakia, the Balkans and Romani music, as well as with improvisation, jazz energy and a distinctive rhythm.
The star of the evening will be an exceptional double bassist and multi-instrumentalist Adam Ben Ezra, who had already met Ľubomír Gašpar on stage at the Viva Musica! festival
They will be joined on stage by Karolína Krigovská – violin, Patrik Klačanský – violin and Peter Lúpták – viola.
The programme will feature works by Mozart, Brahms, Bartók and Satie, as well as original compositions by Ľubomír Gašpar.
