The P. O. Hviezdoslav Regional Library in Prešov in cooperation with Pocity Cinema organises regular film nights, which take place once a month, always on a Thursday.
In October, we invite you to another event that combines quality cinema with the cosy atmosphere of the library. You can look forward to the screening of the following documentary film: The Voice of the Forest, presented as part of the KineDok project.
The screening will take place on 8 October 2026 at 4.45 pm in the Lecture Theatre on the 2nd floor (Slovenská 18).
What does a healthy forest actually need? Zuzana Piussi’s new book, *The Voice of the Forest*, offers an insight into the situation in Slovakia’s forests, which have become a proxy issue for a social conflict that runs deeper than it appears at first glance.
Film evenings at the library are aimed at everyone (including documentary film enthusiasts) who are looking for high-quality programming and new food for thought.
Admission to the event is €2 per person for holders of a library card and a film club card
Admission for the general public: €3 per person
