This resort in the Low Beskids boasts one proper run: a 950-metre-long red run \u2013 i.e. of medium difficulty \u2013 with a vertical drop of almost 190 metres. It is accessible directly from the main road, making it a good choice for a half-day\u2019s skiing for residents of Bardejov and Svidn\u00edk, as well as visitors from more distant parts of the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ski slope and ski lift<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The run is served by a ski lift, which has a bend just past the first pole. The run is reserved for skiers and snowboarders:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>length:<\/strong> 950 m,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Difficulty:<\/strong> red (moderate difficulty),<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>snowmaking:<\/strong> artificial snow, snow-making equipment directly on the slope,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>edited by:<\/strong> regular grooming by a snow groomer,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>lighting:<\/strong> The ski run is lit along its entire length.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the operator, the ideal capacity of the slope is approximately 50 skiers per kilometre of run. When snow conditions are good, a snow park is also set up at Makovica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who is Makovica suitable for?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The red-rated slope is particularly suitable for intermediate and experienced skiers and snowboarders. The resort also welcomes ski schools. Sledging on the slope is not permitted, but sledgers will find suitable hills in the surrounding area. Ski mountaineers may use the slope by prior arrangement; they must inform the ticket office in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Refreshments and services<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the bottom station of the ski lift, there is a caf\u00e9 serving home-cooked food and offering free Wi-Fi. On the other hand, it beckons <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/en\/kam-ist-na-vylet\/svidnik-a-okolie\/\">Svidn\u00edk and surroundings<\/a> s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/en\/kultura-a-umenie\/vojenske-historicke-muzeum\/\">The Military History Museum<\/a>.
