Mardu\u0148a<\/strong> It is a hill with an altitude of 873 metres in the Bachure\u0148 mountain range, within the cadastral area of the village of Ro\u017ekovany in the district of Sabinov. Although it is one of the lesser-known and less-visited peaks in the \u0160ari\u0161 region, it stands out for its peaceful atmosphere, well-maintained summit and lovely views of the surrounding countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Bachure\u0148 Mountains<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bachure\u0148 is a low-lying flysch mountain range in north-eastern Slovakia, stretching across the districts of Sabinov<\/a> a Pre\u0161ov<\/a>. It consists of several wooded hills, which, in addition to Mardune, include Minaj<\/a>, Bu\u010de and Bachure\u0148, the highest peak in the range at 1,081 metres. The range offers easy hiking in a natural setting away from the main tourist routes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mardu\u0148a Peak<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The summit of Mardu\u0148a itself consists of a small meadow. It is dominated by a wooden cross and an altar with a small seating area, suggesting that the hill is also a place of pilgrimage for the faithful. The meadow at the summit offers views of the surrounding countryside, making Mardu\u0148a a suitable spot to rest during a hike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hiking trails<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The climb up Mardu\u0148a is not difficult, and there are several signposted hiking trails leading to the summit. The shortest of these starts in the village of Ren\u010di\u0161ov, from where the summit is approximately 2.5 kilometres away. You can also climb Mardu\u0148a from the villages of Dubovica, Jakubova Vo\u013ea, Ro\u017ekovany or Uzovsk\u00e9 Pek\u013eany. The hill can also be included in longer ridge walks through the Bachure\u0148 Mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
