Older foundations, probably of the original manor house, were used in its construction. The manor house was built on a hill above the church, the land on which the manor house stands is called Pansk\u00e1 l\u00faka. Here the P\u00e9chys planted a park, after which some trees still remain, e.g. pine, beech (Fagus sylvatica 'Atropunicea'), a few lime trees, but the most famous specimen of the park is the protected <strong>Mammoth Sequoia.<\/strong> The Unique tree is a rare coniferous tree, which has been declared a protected tree since 1989 due to its unique occurrence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mighty tree grows in the centre of the garden and its age is estimated to be around <strong>130 years<\/strong>. It came into the vicinity of the manor house, which was built in the past by local noblemen, during the planting of the park. The conifer has grown to a height of more than 20 metres and about half a metre above the ground has a trunk girth of 1.3 metres. Its trunk is massive and straight, the growth is considered very symmetrical, with a crown diameter of about 14 metres.<br>According to the literature, this tree species originally originated in California and was introduced to Europe as an ornamental park tree. Reportedly, some specimens in their country of origin can grow up to 80 metres high and have a trunk circumference of more than 30 metres. Experts estimate that the maximum age of the mammoth redwood can reach <strong>up to 4000 years<\/strong>, which is unbelievable. A good example is said to be a redwood in California, which was given the name General Sherman, is the holder of the title <em>\u201eThe mightiest tree\u201c<\/em>.
