It is situated near\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/en\/prirodne-krasy\/sigord-vodna-nadrz\/\" data-type=\"prirodne-krasy\" data-id=\"5494\">the Sigord reservoir<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0v <a href=\"https:\/\/slanskevrchy.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Slansk\u00e9 hills<\/a> and offers a pleasant walk through woods, meadows and along the water\u2019s edge. The location is about a 15-minute drive from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/en\/lokalita\/mesto-presov\/\" data-type=\"lokalita\" data-id=\"26\">Pre\u0161ov<\/a>, making it suitable even for a shorter trip without the need to plan a challenging hike.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A walk around the reservoir<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The route is approximately&nbsp;<strong>1 kilometre<\/strong>&nbsp;and follows mainly the footpath near the shore of the reservoir. The elevation gain is only about 21 metres, so it is classified as an easy route suitable for leisurely walks. The circuit can be completed in approximately 15 to 30 minutes, depending on your pace and any stops you make.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The educational nature of the trail is complemented by&nbsp;<strong>information boards about the local natural environment and wildlife<\/strong>. During their walk, visitors can stop at benches and rest areas overlooking the water. The route also includes a wooden footbridge over the Del\u0148a stream, which adds to the character of the path.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sigord: a place to relax<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The nature trail forms part of a wider recreational area around the Sigord reservoir. The surrounding area offers opportunities for relaxation in the countryside and waterside activities. A key attraction is\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/en\/prirodne-krasy\/sigord-vodna-nadrz\/\" data-type=\"prirodne-krasy\" data-id=\"5494\">Sigord Shipyard<\/a><\/strong>, which, thanks to the efforts of the \u010cavargy civic association, has gradually become a hub for sporting, cultural and environmental activities. During the summer and autumn seasons, visitors can also enjoy boating.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The area around the reservoir is also suitable for families with children, leisure walkers and older people looking for a short route without any significant inclines. The footpath is also suitable for visitors with dogs.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A trip that links up with other routes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sigord is also an interesting starting point for longer trips. There are walking and cycling routes in the wider area <a href=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/en\/sport\/cyklozeleznicka-z-presova-na-sigord\/\" data-type=\"sport\" data-id=\"2471\">Bicycle Railroad<\/a> leading to the Slansk\u00e9 Hills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A visit to Sigord can therefore be seen as either a short walk by the water or the start of a day-long trip.
