The observation tower on Malkovsk\u00e1 Hill<\/strong>\u00a0It is one of the most popular vantage points in the area Pre\u0161ov<\/a>. It is situated in the Cemjata Forest Park, at the summit of Malkovsk\u00e1 H\u016frka, at an altitude of approximately 497 metres above sea level. The wooden observation tower is 19.6 metres high and offers sweeping views of the \u0160ari\u0161 region.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The viewing platform offers a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. On a clear day, you can see\u00a0Pre\u0161ov<\/a>, \u0160ari\u0161 Castle<\/a>, Kapu\u0161ian Castle<\/a>, the \u010cergov Mountains<\/a>, Slansk\u00e9 vrchy<\/a> and the hilltop Guard<\/a><\/strong>. The observation tower thus offers an interesting view of the region\u2019s natural and historical landmarks.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malkovsk\u00e1 h\u00f4rka itself forms part of the Cemjata Forest Park, which offers ideal conditions for short walks and excursions in the countryside. A trip to the viewing tower can be combined with other routes in the Pre\u0161ov area to create a longer walking or cycling circuit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hiking and cycling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There are several signposted routes leading to the viewing tower. It can be reached, for example, from Haniska near Pre\u0161ov, Radatice, Janov, Cemjata or from the Pre\u0161ov Calvary<\/a>. Several of the access routes are short, and the regional tourism portal states that most of them are no longer than approximately 2 kilometres.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another interesting option is the route from Kalv\u00e1ria along the path known as \u2018Tri jarky\u2019, which serves as a cycling trail for cyclists. The area around the viewing tower is ideal not only for walking but also for cycling. The forest tracks and footpaths make Malkovsk\u00e1 h\u00f4rka an ideal destination for an active day out in the Pre\u0161ov area.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A place for a short trip<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

One of the advantages of the viewing tower is its location near the regional capital. A visit therefore does not have to be a full-day hike \u2013 it can form part of a shorter walk or a spontaneous trip into the countryside. Along the route there are gazebos and benches, which provide a place to rest.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The observation tower on Malkovsk\u00e1 H\u016frka is therefore an ideal choice for visitors who wish to combine a time spent in the countryside with panoramic views. As it is accessible from several directions, it is one of the most interesting places to visit in the immediate vicinity of Pre\u0161ov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
