On Saturday 17 October 2026<\/strong> The cycling season was symbolically brought to a close at\u00a0The Cycle-Railway<\/a>. And as the season isn\u2019t ending empty-handed, a refurbished rest area was also handed over for use at the end of the route Little Muk<\/strong> - a new venue offering experiences and relaxation for visitors to the trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symbolic opening of the event took place at the BIKE CENTRUM PRE\u0160OV and, following a brief welcome, a group of 35 cyclists set off on a group ride through The Cycle-Railway<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

This time, it\u2019s not about performance, but about the joy of exercise, pleasant conversations and the last few kilometres of the autumn season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Little Muk: a place well worth a visit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The finish line was right at the very end Cycle-train routes<\/a>, at the rest area Little Muk<\/strong>. It was here that the revamped facility was officially opened. The rest area is designed to cater for cyclists, walkers and families with children, whilst enhancing the comfort and appeal of the entire route.<\/p>\n\n\n

The restoration was funded by the \u0160ari\u0161 Region, with support from the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Slovak Republic, as part of the \u2018Development of a Sub-destination\u2019 cooperation project Slansk\u00e9 vrchy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eWe wanted cyclists reaching the end of the Cyklo\u017eelezni\u010dka to find a place where they could not only stop and rest, but which would also inspire them to go on further trips in the Slansk\u00e9 vrchy sub-destination in \u0160ari\u0161. The Mal\u00fd Muk rest area shows that even a small investment can significantly improve the quality of a route, provided it is backed by cooperation between local authorities, local people and partners,\u201c<\/em>said the director of the \u0160ari\u0161 Regional Tourist Board.<\/p>\n\n\n

\u201eI am delighted that the Cycle Railway has become even more attractive. The refurbished rest area combines physical activity, relaxation and family experiences, and demonstrates what can be achieved through cooperation between local stakeholders. I believe that Mal\u00fd Muk will become a favourite stop for residents of Pre\u0161ov and the surrounding villages, as well as for visitors to the \u0160ari\u0161 region,\u201c<\/em> added the director of the Sigord Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The end of the season<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The grand opening was followed by an informal get-together. The village of Dulova Ves provided goulash and cakes, which were most welcome after the ride. The symbolic end to the season and a word of thanks went to everyone who had used the Cycle Railway throughout the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
