Also in 2025, it will take place on two dates, from 25.11. to 23.12.2025 and from 26.12. to 31.12.2025. The Pre\u0161ov Christmas Market will feature a great musical programme across genres, as well as delicious food and drinks served in returnable cups.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pre\u0161ov Christmas Market will be inaugurated traditionally on 25 November 2025 and will last until 23 December 2025. After a two-day break, it will then continue from St. Stephen's Day on 26 December until New Year's Eve on 31 December 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.presov.sk\/portals_pictures\/i_008349\/i_8349845.jpg\" data-fancybox=\"common-image--0-8349845\" data-caption=\"pvt_program.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Pre\u0161ov Christmas markets will be more environmentally friendly\" src=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/i_8349846.jpg\" alt=\"Pre\u0161ovsk\u00e9 viano\u010dn\u00e9 trhy bud\u00fa ekologickej\u0161ie\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201eEvery year we take the Pre\u0161ov Christmas Market a step further with our programme, services and atmosphere, which unites the whole city. This year will be an extraordinary event with several novelties that we will reveal on the spot.\u00a0<strong>I invite families, friends and visitors from all over the region - come taste the punch, discover the crafts, enjoy the music and be surprised. Let's meet on Main Street and experience together an Advent full of joy, surprises and togetherness,\u201c\u00a0<\/strong>invites Pre\u0161ov residents and visitors from the whole region to the Mayor of Pre\u0161ov Franti\u0161ek O\u013eha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visitors will be able to enjoy their drinks in special returnable cups with a funny print in the Sharis dialect.\u00a0<\/strong>Visitors will pay a deposit of \u20ac2 for a returnable glass when purchasing their first drink. They can then keep the cup as a nice Christmas souvenir or return it to two marked locations where the deposit will be refunded. The cups will only be returnable at specially designated stands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year the stage will be located in front of St. Nicholas Cathedral and will host a number of artists. The band will perform<strong>\u00a0Rust,<\/strong>\u00a0Singer\u00a0<strong>Sl\u00e1vka Tk\u00e1\u010dov\u00e1,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Music from Mars, Robo Simko &amp; Massriot, Banda, Muzi\u010dka<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>and Lomnick\u00e9 \u010chave<\/strong>\u00a0or pop opera trio\u00a0<strong>La Gioia<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>and many others.<\/strong>\u00a0Children's folklore ensembles will also be present\u00a0<strong>D\u00fabravienka<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a0<strong>Sharishan.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nearly a dozen or so Christmas markets will be set up in the city centre during the Christmas market.\u00a0<strong>70 stalls with local artisans and sellers of Christmas goods, drinks and various gastronomic products.\u00a0<\/strong>The Christmas markets in Pre\u0161ov will sell for example leather and wooden products, jewellery, clothes, slippers, gloves, gingerbread, gingerbread houses, spices, candles, toys, books, Christmas trees, decorations and much more. Visitors to the markets will be able to enjoy langos, doughnuts, grilled specialties, trifles, meat products, grilled cheese, cotton candy, popcorn and desserts. They can also warm up with fragrant punch, mead, mulled wine and other traditional alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There will also be one gastro stand in South Park with drinks and snacks. There will be a Christmas corner away from the busy pedestrian area where visitors can relax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Children and parents can find carousels and children's attractions in the southern part of the pedestrian zone, by the horse statue.\u00a0<strong>\u201eThis year we focused on making the so-called children's zone with carousels more attractive. We have added a smaller Ferris wheel and a new gastro zone will be created in the area near the horse statue, which will delight young and old alike. It will also include a wooden hut with a refreshment offer. Our aim is to revitalise this part of the market and increase the number of visitors,\u201c<\/strong>\u00a0said the director of PKO Barbora Rusi\u0148\u00e1kov\u00e1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditionally, the Christmas markets in Pre\u0161ov will also have their place\u00a0<strong>charity stalls and the Mayor's Punch.<\/strong>\u00a0Each year, the profits from the sale of this punch are donated to support those most in need. The Mayor's Punch will be served on December 12 and 19, 2025 at 2 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>On weekdays and Saturdays, merchandise stands will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and refreshment stands will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. On Sundays, all sales stalls will be open from 12:00 and will be available until 19:00. The refreshment stalls will serve visitors until 22:00.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traditionally, the Cathedral of St. Nicholas will be located at\u00a0<strong>wooden carved nativity scene by the author Juraj Anto\u0148\u00e1k from Li\u010dartovce.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.presov.sk\/portals_pictures\/i_008349\/i_8349843.png\" data-fancybox=\"common-image--1-8349843\" data-caption=\"mikulas_plagat.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"St. Nicholas Gift event poster\" src=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/i_8349844.png\" alt=\"Plag\u00e1t podujatia Mikul\u00e1\u0161sky dar\u010dek\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors to the Pre\u0161ov Christmas Markets can admire the\u00a0<strong>avenue of Christmas trees,<\/strong>\u00a0which will be decorated by pupils of Pre\u0161ov kindergartens and primary schools with handmade decorations made from recycled materials.31 cute Christmas trees will be placed in the South Park and in the vicinity of St. Nicholas Cathedral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Christmas tree in front of St. Nicholas Cathedral will be lit by children together with St. Nicholas on 6 December 2025. Children's programme\u00a0<strong>St. Nicholas gift<\/strong>\u00a0on Main Street will start at 16.00.
