{"id":623,"date":"2025-08-19T10:47:43","date_gmt":"2025-08-19T09:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/skanzen-v-bardejovskych-kupeloch-oslavil-60-rokov\/"},"modified":"2025-12-15T10:13:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-15T09:13:07","slug":"skanzen-v-bardejovskych-kupeloch-oslavil-60-rokov","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/en\/skanzen-v-bardejovskych-kupeloch-oslavil-60-rokov\/","title":{"rendered":"The open-air museum in Bardejov Spa celebrated 60 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"139\" data-end=\"328\"><strong data-start=\"139\" data-end=\"198\">Exposition of folk architecture in Bardejov Spa<\/strong>, the oldest open-air museum in Slovakia, commemorated a significant jubilee on Sunday 10 August 2025 - <strong data-start=\"293\" data-end=\"325\">60th anniversary of its opening<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"330\" data-end=\"575\">The open-air museum welcomed its first visitors on 29 August 1965 with six buildings. Gradually, it grew by another 23 buildings, which today form a varied collection of wooden houses, barns and farm buildings from the historical regions of \u0160ari\u0161 and Zempl\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"577\" data-end=\"909\">Among the biggest uniquenesses is the fact that it is the only open-air museum in Slovakia with <strong data-start=\"651\" data-end=\"673\">two wooden temples<\/strong> - the church from Zboja (1766) and the church from Mikul\u00e1\u0161ov\u00e1 (1730). Another rarity is a historical drill for the production of wooden water pipes and a working replica of a field pottery kiln (the so-called kochu), which reminds of the long tradition of pottery in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n<figure id=\"attachment_31787\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31787\" style=\"width: 498px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31787\" src=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_20210718_153745354_HDR-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"498\" height=\"664\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31787\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo source: www.sarisskemuzeum.sk<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 data-start=\"911\" data-end=\"932\">Gifts for the anniversary<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"933\" data-end=\"997\">On the occasion of its 60th anniversary, the open-air museum received three significant \u201egifts\u201c:<\/p>\n\n<ul data-start=\"998\" data-end=\"1382\">\n \t<li data-start=\"998\" data-end=\"1120\">\n<p data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1120\"><strong data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1035\">Extensive reconstruction of roofs<\/strong> of the twenty largest objects from the funds of the Interreg Poland-Slovakia Programme.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t<li data-start=\"1121\" data-end=\"1306\">\n<p data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1306\"><strong data-start=\"1123\" data-end=\"1156\">Dendrochronological dating<\/strong> selected buildings to determine their age more precisely - for example, to verify whether the bell tower from Janovce is really the oldest and dates back to approximately 1700.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n \t<li data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1382\">\n<p data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1382\"><strong data-start=\"1309\" data-end=\"1329\">Jubilee celebration<\/strong>, which brought together history, folklore and traditional crafts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<figure id=\"attachment_31775\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-31775\" style=\"width: 656px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-31775\" src=\"https:\/\/www.regionsaris.sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/IMG_20210718_150941048_HDR-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"656\" height=\"492\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-31775\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Photo source: www.sarisskemuzeum.sk<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3 data-start=\"1384\" data-end=\"1401\">Programme of celebrations<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1402\" data-end=\"1583\">The festive day started in the morning with craft and sales stalls, creative activities and demonstrations of traditional techniques. The anniversary was marked by the planting of <strong data-start=\"1558\" data-end=\"1580\">royal walnut<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"1789\">In the afternoon from 15:00 a rich cultural program was held, in which Muzikanci Raslavicki, dance group Bardfa, Folk music of R\u00f3bert Har\u010dar and Michal Smetanka performed.
