Regional Museum in Pre\u0161ov<\/a> will again this year take part in the pan-European event\u00a0Night of museums and galleries<\/strong>. On Saturday\u00a016 May 2026<\/strong>\u00a0will prepare a rich programme in three places - in\u00a0Pre\u0161ov<\/strong>, v\u00a0Manor house Stropkov<\/strong>\u00a0and in\u00a0Archaeopark in Hanu\u0161ovce nad Top\u013eou<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will run from\u00a015:00 to 20:00<\/strong>\u00a0and visitors can look forward to exhibitions, guided tours, expert lectures, creative workshops and experiential activities for children and families.\u00a0Admission to all events is free.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Programme in Pre\u0161ov: exhibitions, art and restored portraits of the Habsburgs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main programme will take place at Main 139<\/strong> in the building of the old town school. It will start about 15:00 opening ceremony<\/strong>, which will be enriched by music and dance performances of pupils SZU\u0160 M. Kobel\u00e1k<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors will be able to see the exhibition Dialogue of generations: sculpture and painting in the Gibal family<\/strong> and the exhibition Important personalities of Pre\u0161ov's musical and cultural life<\/strong>. Her guided tours will lead Igor Lazorik<\/strong>o 16:00<\/strong> a 18:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attraction of the evening will be the display of\u00a0newly restored portraits of the Habsburgs<\/strong>. Historian Nikoleta Latta<\/strong>\u00a0and restorer\u00a0Ivana Ram\u00e1\u010dov\u00e1<\/strong>\u00a0will introduce them during lectures on\u00a017:00<\/strong>\u00a0a\u00a019:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Stropkov Manor: exhibition Slovak League and underground tours<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Stropkov the main point will be the exhibition Slovak League<\/strong>, dedicated to the history of Slovak emigration and the activities of the 92nd Branch of the Slovak League in Stropkov. The guided tour will take place at 15:30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme will be complemented by performances of pupils ZU\u0160 F. Vesel\u00fd<\/strong> a SZU\u0160 in Stropkov<\/strong>. O 16:30<\/strong> the art competition will be evaluated Stropkov Castle in children's imagination<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other expositions of the manor and the castle will also be open. Guided tours with entrance to the underground will take place at 17:30<\/strong> a 19:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Archaeopark Hanu\u0161ovce: crafts and treasure hunting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Archaeopark in Hanu\u0161ovce nad Top\u013eou will offer demonstrations of traditional crafts and creative activities for children and adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors can try weaving, making rings from wire, painting beads, working with clay, grinding grain, minting coins or archery. The evening culminates with treasure hunt<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Museum a little differently<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Night of Museums and Galleries will offer visitors the opportunity to experience a museum in an unconventional way - through history, art, creativity and experiences for all ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
