He was born<br>a few weeks after his parents were forcibly resettled from the village of Bilcareva in Lemkovina during<br>the well-known Visla Campaign. He is a long-standing organiser of cultural activities aimed at national revival<br>A Lemko (Rusyn) and an active member of the Lemko Society in Poland. Between 1972 and<br>In 1989, he was a soloist with the Lemkovina ensemble. In 1976, he returned to Lemkovina and, from that year onwards,<br>Since 1992, he has been living in the spa town of Krynica, where he leads a church congregation and serves as a deacon at<br>in the Orthodox parish and as a teacher at the Lemko language school. He also works as<br>editor of the periodicals: \"Holos Vatry\", \"Besida\", \"Lemkivskyj kalendar\", \"Lemkivskyj\u2019<br>\"ri\u010dnyk\". He made his literary debut in 1971. His first collection of poems was published in 1984<br>\"Suchyj bady\u013e\"; his other collections included: \u201eJak sokol vode z kamienia\u201c (1989) and the collection<br>Planetniky (2002). He translated the works of A. Mickiewicz, I. S\u0142owacki and I. into the Rusyn language.<br>Franka, \u013d. \u0160t\u00far. The author\u2019s other works were published under the titles: \"A Wisla dalej plynie\"<br>(2007), \"Songs and Ballads by Peter Murjanka\" (2012). For his literary work, he was<br>recipient of the A.
